Director’s Statement

Drawn to narratives that delve into the complexities of human internal struggles, I find equal interest in their dramatic tension and moments of comic relief. I’m particularly engaged by characters and situations that exist outside established social norms and expectations.

Choosing the right collaborators is an essential part of my filmmaking process. Every element — writing, directing, performance, cinematography, editing, music, and sound — functions as part of a whole. My collaborators do not simply realize a vision; they shape it. Their work continually informs my understanding of the material and my own growth as an artist.

Krzysztof Kieślowski and Federico Fellini were formative influences early on. Over time, this expanded to include the work of Robert Altman, Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, and David Lynch.

My aim is to create cinema that is intellectually engaging and visually precise — work that invites the audience into an active, reflective experience.
